The above 2 prints were designed as commemorative cloths for her first ever visit to Nigeria in 1956, before Nigeria became fully independent in 1960 💚 ​​​​​

This next print was designed for the Queen and her husband's visit to Ghana in 1961. Ghana was the first west African country to achieve Independence from European colonisation in 1957 ❤️

​​​​​​​​Worn by crowds to show her a warm welcome. It's an African tradition to wear the same fabric, but in your own way, at special occasions. Representing that we are all the same, as much as are all unique.
